Branding, Front-end Dev
FlashGrade helps teachers grade student tests more accurately and faster. As part of the benefits of using FlashGrade, teachers can print and grade tests directly from any Toshiba e-STUDIO multifunction printer. The interface of the multifunction printer was out dated and did not follow the branding guidelines. As the product designer, I created new design guidelines and updated the front-end.
FlashGrade Design Guidelines provide a consistent, cohesive and optimized experience across all interfaces. The design guidelines are based on three core principles.
Just like a good friend, good design should be trustworthy, honest, dependable, valuable and reliable.
Each design element has only one function and performs that function with the minimum number of steps.
Don’t take things too seriously, life is to be enjoyed, the world is slightly crazy and chaotic.
The interface elements reflect a sense of clean and simple form.
Open Sans gives a neutral, yet friendly appearance. Open Sans is optimized for print, web, and mobile interfaces.
The basic set of colors is dominated by a set of blue shades, black paragraph text, and complimentary colors.
